A branded app for a compressor brand
A compressor brand serving Southeast Asia gives its own customers live machine status, power, temperature, pressure and running hours on their phones. It is built on AirFinity and live on Google Play.
Air compressor monitoring system
AirFinity connects the air compressors you already run to a live dashboard and mobile alerts. Energy, pressure, temperature and run state for each machine, logged every 60 seconds.
The blind spot
Compressed air is one of the most expensive utilities in a factory and one of the least measured. The whole plant sits behind a single electricity meter, so each compressor's share of the bill is invisible. And a failing compressor usually announces itself by stopping production.
Illustration, not client data.
Rising temperature and pressure drift show up days early in the data, if anyone is logging it.
Unloaded running, short cycling and weekend idling cost energy but never appear on a monthly bill.
Hand-written log sheets can't raise an alarm at 2am or prove an energy saving to management.
How it works
AirFinity is a retrofit. We read the data your compressor already has, add sensors where it doesn't, and never touch the machine's own control system.
Your existing machines, any brand.
Modbus RTU from the controller, or retrofit sensors.
Logs every minute. Buffers locally if the internet drops.
Firebase backend stores and syncs every reading.
Live status, history and push alerts.
The gateway keeps logging on site and re-sends the buffered readings when the connection returns.
What your team sees
Running state, load condition and operating hours for each connected compressor, on the office screen and on the phone of whoever is on shift.
Illustrative · sample data
kWh logged continuously for each machine, so you can allocate cost, spot the inefficient unit and prove a saving after you fix it.
Push notifications when a reading crosses a threshold or behaves abnormally, so the problem reaches someone before it reaches the production line.
Illustrative · sample alerts
Long-term charts to compare shifts, catch slow drift and show management the before-and-after of every change you make.

In production
A manufacturing plant in Penang connected six air compressors to AirFinity: RS-485 integration, an on-site edge gateway, a real-time cloud dashboard and mobile alerts for pressure and energy anomalies.

Before and after
AirFinity is an industrial IoT system from Avantix Innovation Sdn. Bhd. that monitors air compressors in real time. It logs energy (kWh), discharge pressure, temperature and run state every minute and shows them on a web dashboard and mobile app, with alerts when readings go outside normal ranges.
Yes. AirFinity is a retrofit system. Where the compressor controller supports RS-485 Modbus RTU, AirFinity reads it directly. Where it does not, external sensors are installed. The compressor's own control system is not modified.
The on-site edge gateway keeps logging and buffers readings locally, then sends them to the cloud when the connection returns, so readings taken during the outage are not lost. Live dashboard updates and alerts resume when the connection is back.
It shows the energy use of each compressor instead of one figure on the plant electricity bill. With one-minute data you can see compressors running unloaded, cycling too often or running outside production hours, and fix those patterns. In one Penang deployment across six compressors, the client reported about 25% energy cost savings within three months and around 40% less unexpected downtime.
Compressors cycle between load and unload within minutes. Hourly averages hide that behaviour, which is where a lot of wasted energy sits. One-minute data makes it visible.
Yes. Continuous kWh logging gives an auditable energy record for each compressor, and reports can be exported from the dashboard instead of being assembled by hand.
It depends on how many compressors are connected and how they are wired. In a reference deployment, six compressors went from site survey to a live dashboard in two weeks. The timeline for your plant is written into the scope before work starts.
AirFinity is quoted per site, because the number of compressors and their interfaces decide the hardware and installation work. Avantix starts with a free consultation, normally arranges a site survey, and gives a written scope and fixed quote before any work starts.
Avantix Innovation Sdn. Bhd., a software house in Simpang Ampat, Penang (SSM 202401000888), handles the full system: sensors and RS-485 wiring, the edge gateway, the cloud platform, the dashboard and the mobile app. Support is local, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
